The British Government took the 1861 Census on the 7th of April 1861. This page summarises, on a household basis, all of the Inkson information from the 1861 records that has been found to date.

THI was eventually found indexed as Thomas H 'Iwkson' with a 'w' not an 'n'. Sarah, his mother, is indexed as 'Jackson'.
